The Events and Account Manager will play a key role in Wine Lister’s continued growth. You will drive the development of Wine Lister’s event organisation offerings, while supporting the wider strategic marketing and communication team in running the PR division. This will include owning several client accounts and managing key relationships.
Access to frequent fine wine tastings and other events, introduction to the world’s top fine wine producers and industry figures, bi-monthly team tastings, and WSET sponsorship.
This role includes:
Run Wine Lister’s events division, being responsible for the conceptualisation, planning, organisation, and implementation of events, roadshows, and press trips for clients (both rolling and project-based), as well as any of Wine Lister’s own events
Manage communications and relationships with external partners and suppliers to ensure that the event’s deliverables are met
Manage project budgets and effectively monitor and report the deliverables of each event
Lead sales of Wine Lister’s event services to new or existing clients
Support the Senior Account Manager in executing strategic marketing and communications projects on behalf of Wine Lister’s clients, including planning annual PR activities and monitoring their successes
Within your CV, we would like to see evidence of:
At least two years’ hands-on experience of event organisation (in-house or agency)
Excellent organisational skills, including being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
Proven ability to generate exciting and memorable event concepts
Experience creating high-quality visual assets and proficiency in using PowerPoint, Canva, etc.
Native-level English
Academic excellence: top grades through to degree level
Fine wine knowledge: pre-existing knowledge of wine, particularly the fine wines of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne (also Italy, Spain, California, etc.)
Organised: highly focused, methodical, and rigorous, with precise attention to detail
Problem-solving: able to think on their feet to come up with solutions
Self-starting: able to take initiative, recognise what needs doing, and be motivated to act on it
